Ok, i checked out the adobe site again, and i fiddled around on my laptop again and found the folder they were talking about, i clicked on set to administrator or somthign like that and a lilttle box popped up said preparing to install etc etc Are you referring to Adobe Shockwave Player or Adobe Flash Player (plug-in for Mozilla Firefox) Just for your information, when Mozilla Firefox 53.0 is released on or about March 2017, that version and newer will no longer support Windows XP. i dont know what to do its getting frustrating, and i dont understand what they are telling me to do on the adobe web site any help at all would be great.

so i tried to download it with Fire Fox and it worked *or so i thought* I can use the web site on FF but not on IE? why, what did i do wrong, i pulled up my "add or remove a program" and i see it plain as day "adobe flash 10.whatever plugin" and when i tried to re-download it the red box with the f and the green bar underneath popped up and the "instillation complete" message came up. Open your Chrome browser and at the address bar paste the following command and press Enter: chrome://plugins. I will say this though, the posibility of an accidental uninstallment of both plugins not too long ago mightve resulted in this problem. Since you didn't mention what errors you are getting, I can't address them except to suggest that you go to Control Panel>Add/Remove Programs and remove any Flash and Shockwave entries. In such situations, the solution to bypass the flash/shockwave player loading problems, is to disable the oldest version of these plugins (Flash Player or Shockwave Player) from Chrome Plugins. Also, when I try reinstall Flash and Shockwave, both 'successfully installed' flash videos do not show up.

I use a website that like wont function unless you have flash, and for the last few days when i use IE the website wont work. The Shockwave and Flash Players are separate programs which enable you to play/see web content created with the full Shockwave and Flash creators.
